Travel Journal of my Time in Japan
August 5, 2002
Only eleven days before my departure! It is almost here! The good-byes have begun, they are so difficult. But it doesn't make me doubt what I'm doing. This feels so right. Remember, you're all welcome to visit. How often will you have a personal tour guide living in Japan that you can stay with?
Last Friday was my last day at the office. And beginning today, my life is different. I won't go into McDonald's Corp offices anymore, I won't be nanny to my little cousins anymore, etc. Everything is all about preparing for Japan. And then I'm off! Although I am also teaching a color guard (flags in a marching band) during these last two weeks before I go - I'm struggling to get their entire show written and taught to the girls. it'll be very close! And there are so many social events, people wanting to get together one more time. I'm loving it! Needless to say there is a lot going on these days, so I don't have time to be nervous.
I really hope I'm able to keep up with these updates while I'm in Japan. If it can be done, I'll figure it out somehow, because I enjoy these.
