Curricula

• Thinking Critically About Environmental Issues: Drafted this curriculum designed to develop environmental ethics. (1995)
  
• Led a team of educators and Argonne technical staff as we co-wrote various environmental education curricula:
  
  • Landfill!: designed to teach middle and high school students about the technology of constructing modern landfills. (1994)
    
  • HazTranz: designed to teach middle and high school students about the technology of handling and transporting hazardous materials. (1993 - 1994)
    
• T.U.R.F.E.R.s: designed to teach middle and high school students about environmental assessment. (1993 - 1994)

• U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Environmental Education Grant Program: Wrote two successful grant proposals to this highly competitive program. (1996 and 1997)  Also served as an annual grant reviewer.  (2000 - 2002)
  
• Little Prairie by the School: wrote the request for proposals and application form while serving as the grantor for this local funding program. (1997 - 1999)
  
• University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point's National Environmental Education Advancement Consortium: Co-wrote a successful grant proposal for the Illinois Environmental Education Advancement Consortium. (1993)

• The Relationship of Science and Art in American Nature Writing and the Implications for Environmental Issue Resolution: Wrote this qualitative research paper as a final graduate school project. (1995)
  
• Effectiveness of the HazTranz Package: Wrote this quantitative thesis as part of a graduate school cooperative position at Argonne National Laboratory. (1994)
  
• Raising Students' and Educators' Awareness of Radioactive Materials Transport Through Creative Classroom Materials and Exhibits: Co-wrote this paper presented at various national conferences and included in proceedings. (1994)
